What it costs
Real numbers, before you call.
Typical Greater Austin ranges for 2026. Most painters make you book an appointment to hear a number — we'd rather you knew roughly where you stand before you spend an evening on it.
Where you land inside a range comes down to prep: wall condition, patching, how many colors, and how much cutting in the room needs. That's why the quote happens on site.
Single room
Walls only, standard 8–10 ft ceilings, minor patching included.
$450 – $900

Who's in your house
The same crew, start to finish.
Dustin walks the job with you and writes the quote. Once work starts, the painters who prep your walls are the painters who lay the final coat — and the ones who come back for any touch-up after.
No sales rep who disappears after the handshake. No crew you've never met letting themselves in on day two. If something needs fixing, we fix it. If something needs a decision, Dustin is the one to call.

Common questions.
How much does it cost to paint a house in Austin?+
For a roughly 2,000 sq ft home, a whole-interior repaint typically runs $4,500–$9,000, and a single-storey exterior $4,000–$8,000. A single room is usually $450–$900. Where you land depends almost entirely on prep — wall condition, patching, number of colors, and how much cutting in the space needs. We publish full ranges on this page and give you a firm number after walking the job.
Why do painting quotes vary so much between companies?+
Almost always prep. Two quotes for the same house can differ by thousands because one includes patching, sanding, priming and full floor protection and the other assumes rolling straight over what's there. Ask any painter what happens before the first coat — the answer tells you which quote you're actually holding.
How long does a typical paint job take?+
A single room is usually one day. A full-interior repaint of a 2,000 sq ft home is typically 3–5 days. Exteriors depend on weather but most one-story homes finish in 2–4 days.
Do you move furniture and cover floors?+
Yes. Furniture moves to the center of each room and gets covered. Floors get drop cloths. Switch plates and outlets are taped off. You don't have to do any prep.
What paint do you use?+
We default to Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore — Cashmere or Aura lines for interiors, Duration or Aura Exterior for outside. If you have a preference, we'll match it.
What if I spot something after you have finished?+
Tell us and we come back. Anything you notice in the first 30 days after the final walkthrough, we fix at no charge — and it is the same crew that did the work, not a subcontractor sent to patch it.
Do you do touch-up work after the job?+
Yes. Anything you spot in the first 30 days post-walkthrough, we come back and fix. No charge.
